A SAYMA Photo "Opp"
I'm happy to report a Liz sighting at SAYMA, and I have photographic proof:

I had a great time talking with Liz about FGC, blogging, and a number of other things. I wish we had had more time to chat.
I'm sorry I won't be at The Gathering this year, the On Fire! Renewing Quakerism through a Convergence of Friends interest group sounds really great Since it is hosted by a number of Friends from quakerquaker.org, I am curious to read the different viewpoints Friends from this group.

Hey Mark,
This is several days late and dollars short, (and perhaps a little off-topic) but I've taken a hiatus from blogworld and just now got back to the thread on Beppe's blog about liberal quakerism.
I wanted to clarify for you that "the teachings and examples of Jesus" are in no way a "hot button" for me. I take great inspiration and comfort there myself. My point was something different, more like an invitation to share the good stuff rather than complain about those who see it differently. That might not have addressed Joe's concerns and might yet make me an example of what he was complaining about, but it was definitely not a complaint about his religious beliefs. And I've also just now thanked Joe on his new blog for the direction he took the discussion in his followups on that subject.
And yep, that's Liz all right!
Cheers,
Dave
Hi Dave,
Thanks for stopping by. It was probably unfair of me to even say that was a hot button for you. I remembered you saying something else was a hot button which was the notion that one religion was better than another. I'm sorry for misrepresenting you.
I also appreciate your call for more "good stuff" and less complaining. I find a lot of these discussions to be frustrating and divisive. I have tried to stay out of them lately, I don't always succeed.
With love,
Mark
Hey, Mark.
All my travels of late interrupted the flow of reading blogs, so it's taken me a while to get back here. Glad that photo turned out, and that the camera-bearing Friend was faithful in getting it to you!
Blessings,
Liz, The Good Raised Up
